Born in Akita City, Akita

After finishing his master’s degree, he worked in Tokyo for about an year before joining the family business, “Muto Craft Metal Casting LLC”.

While carefully attempting to produce products inspired by Akita’s environment and culture, he pioneers products and services that combine modern needs with the possibilities of cast metal from a new perspectives.

He attempts to create each piece of work carefully, step by step in order to fulfill the wishes of each customer.

ーーAbout Muto Craft Metal Casting LLC

Founded in the mid-Meiji period.

From the first to the fourth generation, they produced a variety of castings including tetsubin (iron kettles). The following generations worked mainly on craftworks and nameplates. 

Currently, while producing nameplates and nameplates for highways and tunnels, the company is also developing custom-made products that combine craftsmanship and technology.

The company specializes mainly in copper alloys and aluminum, and also handles cast iron.

ーーWhat is Metal Casting?

Cast metal is an product made by melting metal with high temperatures and pouring it into molds, typically made of sand, which are then cooled to solidify.

We call this process and technique “Casting”. It is great for mass production, with low cost and complex shapes.
